Sky glass air

We have today had our sky glass air delivered, a replacement to sky glass that broke, we have noticed that when using the remote to go to the menu or flick through anything, but leaving the current channel

playing, the sound and of what's on seems to dip with every remote action. Is this normal? Is it unique to Air or can we turn it off?
