Same here tried the reset by holding button on side it, blue screen saying updating software appears then the sky logo likes it's about to fire up but then goes black again.

We live in north Herts area of Hertfordshire and had a 1 minute power cut. I assumed it would have been due to this . WiFi all working so just using my fire stick for TV at present

Don't forgets it's a streaming platform so you can still watch the majority of content via Sky Go or other third party apps on other devices.

Sky glass TV turning on but staying black, no picture, did a remote and TV reset, it did the software update fine, restarted as it said it would, got the sky logo for 3 seconds, then just back to a black screen again, tried turning it off and on at the mains, still doesn't wake up and come on, have a wired network connection so that's all good, don't know what else to try, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@peter-marlow+1966 wrote:Just a thought, the tv are steaming over the Internet, you all say in different parts of the country that the tv will not turn on sounds like it may not be an outage but the tv may not be protected by an anti virus software and it could be that, as an Internet outage would mean the tv would switch on normally and send you to the tv watch terrestrial tv on sky glass tv
Worth a try for those who have a firestick or tv aerial ...... turn your router off wait 5 then try unplugging the tv and turning back on ..... it may boot up and allow you to select hdmi sockets etc

You would of thought that, or even turn on to watch one of your apps like Netflix. But no, if you can't watch sky it's nothing. Until fixed.
