@RachelHadley wrote:Followed set up on scream. Now have an activation code but have no clue where to go to activate as the sky.com/activate just comes up with an 'Oops something went wrong' message. H E L P!!!!!
This seems to be an ongoing issue and could be caused by several issues
- not logged into your sky id account before navigating to the activation page
- having multiple sky ID s (mobile and tv) and using the wrong account to sign in
- having an older sky ID following a cancellation etc and sky s backend system not recognising the new one
the last of these issues will require a phone call to sky and often you can tell if this is the case if you have no access to billing information in your MySky app

Have you tried the steps in post 2 of this thread, which is different from the normal reboot. If so how far have you gotten with it?

After trying the recovery process for the 4/5th time, I now have scenic pictures on my screen.
no instructions to reboot, and regardless of what button I press on the remote, nothing happens

Hi, yes I have followed the steps carefully for sky glass downstairs and sky stream upstairs, sky glass is now working but sky stream is stuck on the page where it asks to hold the 4 and 6 numbers together for 2 seconds on the remote. This is not doing anything at all, my remote has new batteries and Is working fine too, I cannot get past this step. Thanks.
@Kirsty7777 I don't know if this will work but it is worth a try. Pressing 4 & 6 for 3 seconds (2 insn't long enopugh IMHO) will put the remote into IR mode so the suggestion from @horace may work for you but if not try pressing 1 & 3 for 3 seconds instead. This will put the remote into bluetooth mode.

Hi, thanks. Yes I've tried the steps and followed the advice online and in the app. Sky glass is working fine downstairs now after resetting but the stream box upstairs will not move past the step where I have to hold the 4 and 6 buttons on the remote for 2 seconds, it will not respond to this? I have new batteries in the remote and it is lighting up. I have pointed it right next to the box whilst holding the 4 and 6. I do not know what to do from here. Any advice and help is much appreciated. Thanks.
What happens if you pull the power and turn back on

Please note the usual unplugging and plugging back in won't work for this issue.

What kind of scenic pictures ? Are you sure this is not a screensaver built into your tv ?

Try this
Pull your plug out
press and hold the standby button on the bottom of the puck as you look at it
put the plug back in while still holding the standby button
keep holding the standby button until the light at the front of the tv starts flashing
let standby button go
follow on screen prompts
when you get to the pin screen pull the plug again and turn back on
