@eilaine wrote:Thank you for this. I already pay for most available packages except Sports and Childrens (ichildrens tv is free anyway but I don't need it).
I'll have a look and see if Sky Glass comes up any cheaper than SkyQ and go from there.
thanks for your replies 👍
@eilaine If you already have a decent TV I would be inclined to look at Stream puck rather than a Glass TV as this will be a fraction of the price.
Personally I moved from Glass to a Smart TV with soundbar about 18 months ago. Admittedly it was a little more expensive but the viewing experience is far better than it was with Glass.

Re: Sky Glass Overall Cost
@eilaine All pricing is available on sky's website
there's no general exact overall pricing as what you eventually pay depends on your choice of tv subscription
your existing subscription will be cancelled so you have to choose a new subscription package and then add the monthly cost of tv if buying on finance and the monthly whole home subscription (which allows you to access on upto 3 glass TVs and 6 pucks)
there is also a £40 charge for each puck order although the first one may be free when taking whole home at same time

Lots of variables here. Overall cost depends on the size of Glass TV you would like. The bigger the screen, the more you pay.
Streaming TV subscriptions are then an extra cost on top of the cost of the TV. You pay for Essential TV (the basic free to air channels plus Sky Atlantic, Netflix with ads and Discovery+ with ads) or Ultimate TV which adds lots more channels to the Essential package. Cost varies depending on whether you take a 24 month contract or a rolling 31 day contract.
You then need to pay extra if you want the ability to skip ads on some services, extra for UHD/Atmos, extra for Sky Cinema (which comes with free Paramount+ with unskippable ads), extra for Sky Sports and extra for Sky Kids.
If you want Sky in other rooms then you need to pay an extra monthly subscription called Whole Home and pay a one-off fee of £39.99 for each Stream puck box you wish to loan for the duration of your contract. The first one can sometimes be free, but they always need to be sent back to Sky at the end of your contract or if you cancel.
