In a word no, it won't be Sky Glass 2.0. You can't order Sky Glass 2.0 yet.

I'd cancel that order and wait till you're able to order Glass 2.0 if I were you.
But speaking as me myself, I'd just swerve Sky Glass totally and get a far better telly from any of the usual electrical retailers instead.
Then just sign up to Sky Stream and watch all the content through the puck.

@andrea0410 no it will be gen 1, gen 2 doesn't go on sale until tomorrow

Plenty of issues @Suskha and nothing to do with my network or ISP. It's an item that can't cope with fast streaming and more needs to be done to avoid things like programme waiting to load and freezing etc
Less blame and more ownership on their product is needed

There are many with issues, but there are far more without (myself included). I have had far less issues with sky stream than I did with Q and mini boxes disconnecting all the time
If there was a more widespread issue with the hardware the community would be flooded with posts, however there is something in your (don't mean you specifically, but your as in customer profile of ISP and BT product etc) environment / setup (i.e. router and puck combo or ISP or type of connection) which needs investigating (by Sky) as I guess they weren't able to do in testing. I hope someone is tracking issues reported so they can find commonality between those experiencing poor performance such as yourself.
Also if the pucks were problematic in would have expected to have seen an updated stream product with the current announcement.

Glass/ 2.0 appeals I think only to people who dont or can not buy a new TV outright. When you add up the cost its a really high cost over however many years you pay for the Tv Set - for an average TV. I am glad I never got my skyglass and went for stream instead after cancelling the initial order due to a major mess up from Sky.
Bought my own TV a superb samsung for under £350 quid which is perfect for the size of my living room. A few issues with stream , the occasional reboot, and it can be slow at times but it does the job for what I pay (some good discounts negotiated when I decided to take out stream)
I do miss recordings on Q from my old home, but times move on. Sky glass 2 I suppose for some will be a really good option, if you are on a low budget or dont have money upfront but if you can buy your own TV outright - your always going to get much higher specs at half the price for what you will end up paying for Sky Glass 2. But I think its a product which over time will only improve software wise - I just wish some love would be given to the lowly stream box.

Agree @dino9898 that the stream puck needs much TLC 😂

So many options out there for folk to get televisions on finance thus there really is no justification for getting Sky Glass on the never-never.
Even those who have got poor credit scores should be able to sign up to certain catalogue retailers or get accepted for specific credit cards from financial institutions that specialise in that field.
Of course the interest rates will be steeper than what they are for punters with decent credit history but the option is there.
And that option, even at a higher APR, should still work out much better for a cheaper priced regular TV than the extortionately priced Sky Glass unit.

A lot of the environmental marketing was based on the use of recycled materials in construction....... not so much the actual recycling of the product

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAt the end of the day the best form of recycling is to sell or gift it on so it's still in use. Seems a little counter intuitive to send a product to scrap when it can still be of use.

Why get all muggy geezer?
Not everyone can afford what you or I can and not everyone thinks things through when they want to buy a shiny new consumer product?
