Very sad

So I have read a few articles saying bad news for Sky Glass 1 customers wanting ot upgrade, it says those customers mid contract must pay off first before being able ot get Sky Glass 2? So does that mean you can't add on another TV? I thought you could have more than one? I'm a little confused?

As long as you can pass another credit check in order to pay for a gen2 Glass on finance, Sky will gladly sell you one.
You'll still need to continue to pay off your gen1 Glass if it was purchased on finance too. The loan agreements are entirely separate to your streaming TV contract.

I think I'll pass and stick with my Sky Q box 😁

I will upgrade to a newer Samsung model TV and keep the Q box for as long as possible. Poor show Sky, you dropped the ball on the Glass 2!
You do have the option of sky stream in place of Q if you want to keep the Samsung tv

The stream pucks are underpowered and feel like first gen fire sticks to use.

The three of my picks are fine .... I don't notice too much difference between them and my 4K max firestick

Absolutely bang on mate 👏🏻 keeping Sky Q for as long as possible is the only logical option for us too.
Not that I would ever have been tempted by Sky Glass anyway, not even had they whacked more acceptable modern specs in it but that was never ever going to be the case.
There are those who chose to attack me personally for saying what I did, without even having the minerals to do it directly I hasten to add. Preferring to just label what was obviously my pre-release post on Glass 2.0 as being overly negative 🙄
Turns out me preempting that Glass 2.0 would just be more of same and thus not worth spending good money on was pretty spot on. Pretty spot on because it was so blatantly obvious that it was going to be more of the overpriced mediocre same.
So I'll finish off this post with what I finished off that said initial post on more than a week ago......
.......boom 👊🏻

If you're referring to the cost of the actual TV, then you're paying off the loan you took out in order to buy it. Same for Gen 2.
If you're referring to the ongoing subscription, well it's the same so will cost the same.
In either scenario I don't see what you think is wrong.

Well at the launch of the OG Glass unit Sky made a rather big song 'n' dance about giving punters the option to update/upgrade to new hardware whenever it launched in the future
That has clearly has not turned out not to be the case, has it?
And though some in here may choose to gloss it over as being down to probable impracticalities I'd dare to suggest it's more a case of not being financially beneficial to Sky.

Sky - please comment.
No upgrade program... pay off finance for version one first. That's a year and a half for me. Finance the version 2 at that point, but the version 3 will be in development by then!!! There will be zero value for a version 1 at that time!
The financing is a major selling point for the product but not any more. It make an upgrade difficult.
No recycling? The Sky Glass product was sold as being a strong environmental product.
