Initial Optimism Waning
Having returned to Sky after a 2 year hiatus my initial thoughts were a vast improvement with Glass 2 over 1. The picture quality has improved markedly, but......
• In the past month lost the Playlist on at least three occasions.
• Almost everyday I have to reset internet connection despite following rigidly the steps required to have a robust connection.
• Technical issue cannot load has raised its ugly head on a few occasions, Ethernet connection full fibre.
• Concerning! Flickering screen despite correct auto dimming settings.
Issues from what 4 years ago still remain 😟
Other than flickering screen that could be a backlight issue requiring a new TV the other points are niggles but surely after all this time they should be resolved!

I fully agree with your points. I optimistically purchased a Glass gen2 when they launched but it lasted less than a week before I returned it. Yes, it was an improvement on the gen1 but for me, personally, I've lost all trust in Sky and in particular their streaming products.
SkyOS is a great idea and would be amazing if it worked reliably, but it still feels too shaky to recommend to anyone.
I personally won't be purchasing any hardware from Sky again. Today's Sky Live announcement just shows how badly they can get it wrong. Sky Glass is a great idea, but for me the hardware just isn't good enough for the price and the SkyOS infrastructure is just too unreliable.

Can only agree with you but it can only get better 🫣
Sky Live was always going to be niche too many other free platforms available but they gave it a go!

Have to applaud Sky for admitting their mistake and refunding everyone who bought Sky Live - that's got to be hugely costly for them, but very welcome I'm sure for anyone who bought one. A nice pre-Christmas bonus!
Best of luck with Glass!

I would say that the TV is faulty. Unless your ethernet cable is dodgy there is no reason for the connection to drop.
I have had my Gen2 for a couplenof months now and am very pleased. Picture quality is great, but for me the sound system is a massive improvement on earlier models, and is comparable to fairly pricey soundbars. Bass boost is impressive when watching action movies.

Cable is fine and the TV is too, the issue is software.
