The Disney plus tech support has told me to call Sky and switch off IPV6 

This is because I cannot play anything on Disney plus. We tried for an hour to solve the issue.

It's just dreadful.

 

Imagine if you were trying to drive forwards in your car, but the dashboard said 'sorry, forwards isn't available' despite you moving forwards. Then it said 'sorry there's a technical error' and the only way to fix it was to stop the car, get out, then wait 2 minutes while it restarted. 

That car manufacturer should be a laughing stock.

I have exactly the same issue. Is this  a Sky glass problem? My internet speed is very good. Sky seem impossible to get in touch with. They may have to get kicked into touch very soon.

I keep getting this too : had to reset 3 times in the last hour

I think it is a problem with the streaming system that goes both to Sky Glass and the Sky Stream puck. I am definately kicking them into,touch, not just the problems with the streaming service, but their prices and inability to contact folk, the website help center sends you round in circles and if you do call them you get asked to do all the stuff you have done before , ie switch on / switch off , reset the puck ,  pray to the gods of the internet then they send you out a new puck and the saga starts again.

I'm all for the streaming future . But it's times like this I wish I had sky q still

Puck keeps freezing, crashing while watching ihd

Does anybody else's pick keep on freezing and then rebooting about every 20 minutes if they try watching football or f1 in uhd? Box is wired direct to modem and is getting 1000mps so it's not the broadband speed.

I'm getting a speed of 10.38 which is not good enough. Sky Glass is way more expensive! I had Sky Q with 3 boxes and now only have one puck so a third of  the service and cannot connect anything else to my broadband.! Shocking and even worse since 'upgrading' to Sky Fibre!

I've not seen that technical fault message for many months. Not that I have ever seen that message much during my 16 months or so of Sky Stream.

 

But yesterday, it happened twice to me on one of my pucks, about five hours or so apart. During that time was flicking the Sky Sports channels a lot and through the Sky Sports app mostly with a bit of Disney+ and some Sky channel playlist new episodes.

 

A settings restart sorted it both times.

Was fine all evening and into the early hours.

 

Both pucks are on QS036.021.01P and 2.50.6 UI

Reset does work but it can happen again repeatedly throughout the day, has been ok for a few hours, my puck is on QS037.041.00P so unsure if this a new update which is running parallel with my issue since Thursday

The Q37 build is pushed out generally for the newer 'V2' puck. But, we have seen  a few others with the 'V1' puck that have moved to this build.

Have you recently in last few months moved to Sky Stream?

 

For clarity on the 'V2' puck:

It is not a Gen2 puck, like the Sky Glass TV is an upgrade in specs to the Gen1 TV.

There is no expected performance difference to the current puck.

Expect, its just an alternative chipset from another supplier. Something many hardware manufacturers do to help steady supply chains.

The newer Puck has a smaller power cable plug end.

You cannot request one as a replacement for your current puck and as far as we are aware there is no plan for any replacement of a current puck with this one.

But expect going forwards, new customers will be sent one or the other.

Puck: there is a technical fault

My stream puck is having regular technical faults when I try to switch channels. I restart the puck at least theee times a day to work around the problem.  

is there is a way to talk with an Ursula support rep rather than the useless chat support ?
