Sky Sports app

Hi I have multi screen and trying to watch multiple streams on my iPads through the sky sports app but I'm getting a message stating 'you're watching on the maximum number of devices'. I've never encountered this issue previously and have always been able to stream on as many devices as I can through the sky sports app. Also I watch a lot of tennis but until Friday the live streams were always available on the tennis home page but now I have to go to the watch option to access those streams. This may be a sky issue along with them limiting the amount of devices I'm able to watch streams on. Anyone having the same issue

Re: Sky Sports app

I've attempted to stream on 3 different devices concurrently but I'm only able to stream on 1 but this has only happened since Friday, I've contacted sky through live chat but didn't get any joy and the lady kept telling me to unplug my sky q box but it's only a Sky sports mobile app issue.

Do you see the same error if you use the Sky Go app on the same devices, if so have you made any changes to your TV package recently ?

Re: Sky Sports app

Hi the agent on live chat asked me the same question so i checked and im able to stream concurrently on the 3 devices on sky go app.
I've signed out of all 3 devices in the sky sports mobile app, tried different WiFi and nothing changes, it definitely seems to me to be a sky sports mobile app issue.
i renewed my current subscription in February but it's only since Friday that this has happened plus there's no live tennis streams on the actual tennis section and I can only,y access them through the watch section

All we can suggest is that you try contacting Sky again and perhaps go via one of the social media links at the bottom of this page instead of calling them.

Re: Sky Sports app

I've contacted sky through facebook messenger but they can't find a solution to the problem I have unfortunately. It's only on the watch section of the app it seems, as I was watching multiple EFL matches simultaneously Saturday on the football section

Re: Sky Sports app

I’ve since contacted Sky through Facebook and also submitted an official complaint. I’ve been told that the change limiting the Sky Sports app to one stream came into effect in September, but I’ve asked for this to be escalated to the Executive Complaints Team as it conflicts with Multiscreen’s advertised benefits.

I’ve been a Sky customer for over 25 years and find this really disappointing, especially as costs keep rising while key features are being reduced. As Sky Sports often offers multiple live events at the same time, this new limitation is both very disappointing and highly restrictive for customers who want to follow more than one event concurrently.

Same issue here; no doubt the fix will involve extra money....

Re: Sky Sports app

I contacted Sky about this issue and they offered me a £3 monthly reduction for the rest of my contract. In their response, Sky admitted there was a lack of communication regarding the change and stated, “We understand that this may affect the perceived value of your subscription.” They also confirmed that the one-device streaming limit began rolling out in September. Sky has arranged a call back with the Executive Complaints Team, which I’ll take on Tuesday. That said, I’m still not happy about being restricted to just one device — especially when Sky broadcasts multiple live events at the same time, and their competitors allow streaming on at least two devices concurrently. For a premium service that promotes comprehensive sports coverage, this restriction feels like a real step backward.

Re: Sky Sports app

Hi just received a call from Sky's executive complaints team and They confirmed they’ve received a lot of complaints about the new single-device streaming restriction on the Sky Sports app and admitted it’s something they’re reviewing to stay competitive with other broadcasters. There’s currently no timeframe for when multi-device streaming might be restored, but it’s encouraging that Sky are aware of the issue and are looking into it.
