Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou would need to sign in with the recovery code to turn off two step authentication then you can set it up again with your new number.
When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.
To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

Find out moreWhen you set up 2 step verification the Recovery Code was displayed on screen with a recommendation that you made a separate note of it, for exactly that reason. I'm guessing you didn't do that. If so, you'll need to contact Sky per their help guide here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification
Unfortunately, they say it can take up to 21 days to sort it out.
Alternatively you may be able to get around it if you download and use an email app to access your email.

So you could set up your email account via an email app on your phone as you do not need 2 step authentication on that and you might be able to find the recovery password.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreVery sorry to hear about the loss of your son, problems accessing email is definitely something you don't need on top of that.
What operating system do you have on your computer as it should be possible to take you through installing an app/client to access your email, and assuming you haven't deleted it, access the email with the recovery code.
What mobile phone do you have, Android or iOS? If you use an app such as Outlook on that you should also be able to gain access to the email.
