Re: Two Step Varification Code

Thank you. I was able to remove the Two Step Varification Code because of your post. What a work up it was everytime you wanted to get in. I understand security but I don't always have my phone on for the code to be sent. Thanks again.

@Lorraine1972 yes, additional security usually means more inconvenience, unfortunately.  With many login processes you're able to turn off the need for a verification text message for trusted browsers and locations, but unfortunately Sky's implementation of two step login is a bit crude and doesn't offer that option. I tried two step verification for Sky Yahoo Mail, but like you found it too much of a pain and rapidly turned it off again.

If you mean the Recovery Code, it was sent to your email address when you set up 2 step verification and it was recommended you keep a separate note of it at the time,

As long as you still have access to your mobile number, take a look at this post:

Re: Cancelling two step verification for access to my e-mail account.

I have turned it off several times only for it to turn itself back on, phoned sky only to be told I'd have to contact yahoo

@Freyjab no point contacting Yahoo. They can't help with Sky Yahoo Mail. 2 step verification is now mandatory, so even if you turn it off, you'll be prompted to turn it on again when you next log in.

Re: Cancelling two step verification for access to my e-mail account.

That's the issue when I turned it off I simply clicked the maybe later tab only for it to turn itself back on, it's becoming a nightmare has my number is the one we use for sky so my partner can't access emails with it on ( not allowed my phone at work) because I receive the codes

@Freyjab

That is because as @Mark39 has said this is mandatory for everyone now so when you login select the "remember me" for 30 days option and do not logout then for the next month at least you should now have to do this.

I've turned it off by going onto yahoo instead of sky

And does that seem to worked? Yahoo and Sky 2FA functions are completly separate.
