Two Step Varification Code

If you don't know what it is or can not find the email that you were sent then I'm afraid you are stuck and will have no way to turn it off.

So I have my recovery code, and want to disable 2 step verification. So I go to the sky email login screen, and where it asks for my username or email, I type in the recovery code - yes ? - and then what? - the normal password ? 

I am putting in my recovery code in the user name box, and it just says does not reccognise it ?

At the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

I ran into the same issue, how and where to use the recovery code.

IMO, it's not exactly intuitive!

You can't, I'm afraid.

Please could someone tell me what to search for in emails to find the email containing the recovery code. Thanks

Search for emails from Yahoo and any that mention Recovery Code, look around the day you activated the two step authentication.

This is what my e-mail looks like.

Search for any of that text (that's how I found mine!) and note the address it came from.

You may be able to search for that too.

Here's mine 

The heading is "Two-step verification is on", so search for that.

Edit: I won't be leaving it on, I only did it to test if I got the code sent, as so many people are saying they are not getting theirs. I got it no problem.

You can't, I'm afraid. I don't know if Sky have a way of turning it off for you.

To be fair, Sky do recommend that you make a separate note of the Recovery Code, so that you can still use it to turn off two step verification even if you don't have access to the emailed copy.
