how to share access to my yahoo email account with wife

the security settings has blocked my wife acccessing my email account by wife as comapred to previous times.....this is causing problems as sometimes she needs accesss to assure nothing important is missed when i am away and cant access emails etc. i have failed to remove the security settings due to lack of knowledge and basic understanding of **bleep** the email access works.

And what is happening when your wife enters the code sent to your/her phone ?

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

@mahim sharing your email account isn't compatible with 2 step login as the Verification Code can only be sent to one mobile.

Your best bet is to turn off 2 step login. To do that, select the 'can't log in with code' (or similar wording) link at the login screen, then enter your Recovery Code when prompted.

Your Recovery Code was emailed to you when you set up 2 step login.

If you do not have your recovery code, it is still possible to turn off 2 step verification, as long as you still have access to your mobile, see "How to turn off" here:
