Yes, unfortunately. 🙁

I tried that too. Different browsers and computers. All leads to the same message.
I still have it working on my already logged in outlook app on my phone...... Emails are coming and going. Just don't know for how long. 😭

That almost doesn't make any sense ... working in one place and not in another ... that's weird behaviour. The one bright thing about it is that your email "archive" hasn't been deleted yet.
I can't think of a single reason why signing in to your account on a totally different PC - not a mobile device - would work but it might just do so because you're clear of your own network, it's an entirely different instance of a browser and there should be no other barriers to logging on to what is a straight forward web site.
The only other suggestion I can think of is to grab something like Mozilla's Thunderbird and set it to download your entire Sky email. You might have to think about how you'll confirm to it that's what you want to do, so a different email address, and it will take some considerable time to do, but if it can access your Sky account, you would at least have it all on your local PC. Be aware of space issues though.

I know, it just doesn't make any sense. I cannot access my emails anywhere else, I've tried two PCs and a laptop, I've tried chrome and edge. They all bring me to the same message that I cannot create a yahoo email through sky. Which isn't what I'm trying to do anyway,I'm just trying to log in....
I suspect, if I logged out of my OUTLOOK app on my phone, I'd lose it there too. Because I have tried logging in on the OUTLOOK app on my PC and it won't let me. I spent all night last night changing all my important accounts to a new email address. Just in case I do lose access at any moment! Now I just need to try to forward any important emails (potentially going back years) to my new emails address before they are gone.

Although it is a pain I do think this is the best thing you can do as there are other better email providers where your emails are safer.

Useful little tip which I used in transferring all my emails over 'just in case' was to create an 'umbrella' email address under which you sit another, so that if you ever need to change your email with a large number of accounts you only need to do one action by going into the umbrella account and changing which email address sits under it as the 'forwarding address'. I used the DuckDuckGo one and having gone through all my accounts changing my email address to my Duck umbrella one in readiness for the 24th Jan 'blackout' for Sky email (that didn't happen in the end for me, notwithstanding the hours of work I had had to put in 'just in case') it meant that in one action I was able to change the forwarding email address for all accounts. It does require the upfront work but then for any future changes of email only one swift action for all accounts does the job. And your emails aren't tracked with Duck.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@BartlettAM does your Outlook app use your normal Sky username and password? Or is it using an app password generated by Sky?

Yes, when it asked me to add another account, I just put in my normal log in details for my skymail.

Thank you. I will look into this. I appreciate all your help. I have learnt to accept what has happened and I am now focusing on salvaging what I can in the meantime. 👍

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI got that message whilst logging in and out of my various Sky email addresses to investigate a query on here, but I don't think it means the account has "disappeared".
Just what devices do you have to try logging in on a browser?
Try logging in via Yahoo, instead of direct to Sky, using your full Sky email address and password at this link:

No, nor do I. @BartlettAM wouldn't be able to send and receive emails via their Sky Yahoo Mail account via an app if that was the case.
30 Jan 2025 12:24 PM
I completely agree. My account obviously isn't deactivated. As you said I can send and receive messages in the app. I just cannot access them via sky.com or yahoo.com. it's just so confusing..... I missed the deadline of 25th Jan, didn't log in via sky in the previous 6mths, so feel like I am being punished somehow, 🙈

That was what appeared to be the cause of my original problem - I was logging in directly to Yahoo, not through Sky simply because I had to do it twice, once for Sky and then again into Yahoo. It seems that as soon as I started using the link that I think you supplied, that activity was seen by Sky and fitted their criteria for non-deactivation/deletion.
Admittedly, if a user no longer has access, there's not much to lose! On the face of it anyway!
