Email account updates

I have had several emails and texts to say I need to update my Sky email account of it will disappear. I've been ignoring them all. They have a link in each email and text. I've been deleting them all but they are relentless. Would sky be emailing and texting me like this? Most recent ones say my email will be unable to be accessed by a set date.

It's a scam. You're correct in ignoring it. (The image was rejected. Feel free to resubmit after blocking out the email addresses / links).

@l1v

These are scam emails so you are doing the right thing by not acting on them and ignoring them as they are not being sent by Sky. You could also keep marking them as spam so they get deleted.

Emails such as these will not address you by your actual name which is one way you can spot that are not being sent by Sky.

Re: Email account updates

I've had a few emails like this and wondered if they were genuine. I suspected that they might not be because when I clicked on a link, a page came up showing the Sky logo but the part where I was supposed to put in my password was headed PASSVVORD- two Vs and not a W. Isn't enter any details by the way!

I'd just  like to know if I'm right to be suspicious and to ignore these

emails.

@Miri2 you're absolutely right. It's fake and an attempt to steal your username and password. There's no Sky Yahoo Mail Plus.

@Miri2

If that was an email from Sky it would address you by your first name of which these scammers will not know what it is.

Re: Email account updates

Sky are closing unused email address at present so rather than clicking on any links in a suspect email, go direct to sky.com and login securely and access your mail from there just to be on the safe side so you don't lose your email address or access
