Sky email not working on apple devices Sept 2025

Same issue as written above in regard to the certificate not being trusted. It was September 2026, so still valid for 1 year. No option to "trust the certificate" which is what was advised on other forums / google.

but suddenly all is back working normal this morning.

Thanks, as others have reported, Apple Mail seems to have fixed itself today. Guess a little patience is required...  😁

I have the same issue and have tried to do several fixes but nothing works.  I'm on a MAC using macOS Monterey.

I'm able to 'trust' the certificate but not sure if is safe!!!!

A warning indication showing on inbox, that cerificate validity expired on the 2nd September. Also showing that 'sectigo public server authentication is not trusted', and Mail can't identify identity of the server imap.tools.sky.com. On the face of it it would appear spam, but has anyone else experienced this?

My Ipad and Iphone are working absolutely fine, but not my Imac and my in-laws have the same issue. My Imac is an older one running macOS 13.7.8

I can't find anywhere to change the settings as advised in this post, have deleted my account, tried to re-add as yahoo but all i get is account offline, then try to add manually using the server details says username or password invalid.

It has to be an issue with sky and the certificate they use for email via yahoo, will be interested to see if anyone can provide any further help.

I have the same problem. It would appear this is not isolated so why isnt someone from sky or apple giving a solution. cannot be without emails on my laptop and they are not coming through. 

Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Changing to 'imap/smtp.mail.yahoo.com' seems to have got it working again for me, cheers

error message comes up when I open my phone- imap.tools.sky.com is not trusted

I've tried all the usual reset0 log off- shut down etc

Hi Lotusgreg.

I'm having the same problem.

I've tried to edit the servers on my Macbook, but when I try and re-add my email account back, after deleting,  it only asks for email address and password and then fails to the certificate for the sky.tools server.

How do I get to the screen you show that allows me to add the yahoo servers/ports etc. on a Macbook?
