Hi @caesarome  I'm afraid it still didn't solve the problem.  I tried changing the settings, but it's still not working.

Has anyone tried the solution in post number 36 yet?

I don't know Apple Mail, but have you tried removing the account, and re-adding it selecting the account type as Yahoo?

Re: Change of email settings and server certificate errors today ?

Noting that this issue was raised with the relevant team almost 2 weeks ago, can i ask please that an update be provided on progress.  None of the suggested fixes have worked for myself and i remain unable to access my Sky Yahoo emails from Apple Mail. It is now been almost 4 weeks since i have been unable to access emails by my preferred method, which is extremely frustrating.

@Kevster2 Sky rarely provide interim updates, so I think it unlikely that they'll comment.

Have you tried changing the mail server from Sky to Yahoo?

Re: Change of email settings and server certificate errors today ?

I have deleted and re added the yahoo account without success, and have also tried to set up an App Password, which has supposedly worked for others - that likewise did not work. Changing the mail server from Sky to Yahoo is the one thing i have not tried, but only because if cant figure out how to get to the incoming and outgoing mail server settings posted by LotusGreg. Others have also asked how to get to these settings, but no one appears to have provided a response. I'm on an iMac running macOS Monterey.

@Kevster2

When you reset the account up it should auto detect the settings when you select Yahoo as the provider.

It's crazy that no one gets back to you, and others say change the settings without reading that we can't find how to do that.

i deleted my yahoo internet account and he added and has worked so far.

On Mac go into setting, internet accounts choose yahoo one click in then you should get option to delete account.

Delete then add back account back on.

Re: Change of email settings and server certificate errors today ?

I've no Apple Mac user knowledge but, a quick google lead me to the instructions on how to access the settings menu for Apple Mail. If that is what you are using then the following link should help:

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mail/mlhl075989ef/mac

Drill down and you get this guide for changing the settings:

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mail/cpmlprefacctadv/16.0/mac/26

I hope this helps. The lack of any support, apparently, from Sky is appalling.

Good luck!

Hopefully, for those of you using Apple, @LotusGreg's reply helps, but a simple Google query could of helped.

change incoming server settings on iMac running macOS Monterey - Google Search

Personally I don't think it is Skys's responsibility to tell people how to use their chosen Op system and Client.

I agree. It's unreasonable to expect Sky to have knowledge of, and provide support for the multitude of 3rd party mail apps and clients.

Re: Change of email settings and server certificate errors today ?

It is their responsibility to inform customers of any changes to how their product may be accessed, surely? Don't forget, the settings changed overnight and none of us were aware of the change. I stumbled on the settings differences by chance. If I hadn't, I would probably still be in the dark.

A simple help notice posted for all users would have been a simple fix. As it stands, the information from Sky themselves is incorrect.

See here:

The settings given are wrong. That's less than helpful, that's laziness on someone's behalf. Incompetence.
