no communication - Are you changing my terms and conditions in any way
hi my account is 1 year old on 25th Sept 2024 - I have received no communication from you.
Are you changing my terms and conditions in any way i.e. I pay €30.99 per month - if you are changing this in any way please take this as formal notice that I am switching away from Sky

@DonalK
In case you aren’t aware we are mainly fellow customers on here trying to help other customers and you’re not contacting Sky Customer Services by posting on the forum. You can't cancel anything by posting here.
I don't know whether it's different in the ROI (as you mention euros) but Sky contracts used to be for 18 months and renewal now brings with it a new 24 month contract.

I believe RoI has twelve month minimum terms, so it's quite possible that @DonalK is seeing a reversion to standard pricing.

As they refuse to respond suspect they planning to increase charges

As you appear to be going to cancel your subscription it shouldn't matter but your future online bills will show the new figure. Remember it will be higher than you're paying now because
a) you haven't contacted Sky to negotiate a new discount and
b) you aren't a new customer to Sky so wherever you're moving to will be offering new customer rates which will increase at the end of the discounted period.

I don't know what the regulatory requirement is in RoI: in the UK Ofcom requires ISPs to notify subscribers ahead of the end of a minimum contract term, typically by email.

I believe regualtory requirements are same over here
hpwever we have very weak regulation
telecoms company just ignore these licence requirments as the penalties ( hundreds of euros) are derisory and not an incentive to comply

No it's not, you would have been told how long your discounts are for and at the end of the term as mentioned the will revert to list price.
All you email confirmations will have also told you the minimum term.

When you first signed up to Sky BB you would have received an email or letter with all the T&Cs along with package price, minimum term and details on what will happen after the minimum term.
