Hi, My internet keeps dropping, i have 3 green lights on the sky q modem & the task bar on my computer says i have a connection but am unable to connect to any site on the internet.
Sometimes it will connect after running troubleshooting but other times i need to reboot the modem, it usually happens most days now but at no regular time.
Is this likely to be a problem with the sky q modem.?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@myke5 is this an issue with web pages loading? Its worth trying to run a video in Netflix or another app if those run but web pages hang its likely to be aDNS issue - the look up system to find IP addresses. Sky has a number of servers that provide that service and on occasions one unit plays up. These get fixed but it takes a while.
There are two possible work rounds the first is to tell your device to send DNS requests to a different server. The setting is in the network set up and instead of being automatic set it to uses say to Googles servers at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which are very reliable. That gets fiddly if you use losds of devices. The second is less reliable workround usually works is simply unplug the hub for 5 minutes when it reboots the odds are it will connect to a fully working server.

Hi Chrisee, Thanks for the reply, i dont think its a web page loading issue as the browser says no internet, i also have a internet monitoring app that shows a green tick for online, a yellow cross when its dodgy & a red cross when its offline & i always have a red cross when mine fails.
