iPad and iPhone intermittently not connecting to the router

Both my iPhone and iPad keep dropping the connection to the router, my new router went live on the 3rd of this month.
I have done a speed test and it shows that it is working fine I was previously with Vodaphone and never had this problem before so distance from the router should not be an issue,the puzzle is that it does not happen to both devices at the same time ,any ideas?
