When to plug I your new hub on switch over day from other broadband provider

Hi, I'm moving back to sky broadband from Vodafone, for the go live date my installation instructions state plug in your hub and have it ready. But if I do that I have no WiFi to work and wondering when it states the live date, does it mean it's ready from early morning ?

It can go live at any time during the day of your going live. You will get an sms from Sky when it goes live so you can swap out the old hub then. When mine went live it was at about 10.30am.

@Jacqui33 word of warning the sms often arrives a few hours before the engineer switches the supply over. If its the same line as your Vodafone service uses that will go down a few minutes before the Sky service starts.

So the hub doesn't have to be plugged in for the conversion/switch itself to happen? It just happens and you can plug it in after?
