Still having problems randomly and in the evening. Sky have recently sent me a new router but I haven't swapped it over yet.

We've had Sky Ultrafast for a few months now and we get exactly this. The VOIP light turns amber and mobile phones and PS4 using Wi-Fi drop the entire web connection. It's really annoying but a reboot solves it. I think I saw an external forum which said it's a known issue but the lack of advice from Sky here is concerning.

I e not had any issues for months since a router replacement except one blip a couple of days ago. Not sure what happened as it came back on really quickly and I didn't get chance to check.

Sounds like I possibly need a new router then. Can I buy one from sky?

If you are still in contract you can call sky on 150 from your landline to get a replacement free of charge.
In the meantime turn the router off for > 1/2 an hour to obtain a new public ip address

They sent me a replacement when I complained about the problem, didn't cost me anything.
I told them a few people seemed to have the problem and it was mentioned on the Sky forums but they didn't seem that interested, they just tried to get me to upgrade my broadband package !!

I did that last night and it all worked fine but by the time we got up this morning it was all off again 😩
I don't actually own a landline phone to plug in 🙈
do you happen to know what number to call from a mobile?
and do I just request a router or will I need to go through diagnostics with them? (just wondering if to call them when I have more time)

From what I've been reading, you'd be better with an ASUS modem/router then a Sky modem/router. You can read other threads here on this. It's not all that difficult to setup the Asus to work with Sky. I suggest you ask which router to get based on the type of broadband you have.

Hi, I posted in another thread but this seems to have had more attention.
New FTTP connection, I'm in the North West (of England!), and I've got exactly the same problem. Near enough bang on 10pm a few times this week I've lost internet connection, the Voice light on the SR203 goes orange, the MySky broadband test says that the connection to my hub is fine and connected at 500Mbps, and powering it off fixes the problem. Was there a fix for this?
I've also been having problems with really high Loaded Latency on the Fast.com speedtest since I upgraded, 400ms+ vs unloaded latency of about 10ms, with a speedtest result of about 50Mbps. If I switch off the WiFi on my phone and reconnect it, it solves the issue temporarily and the latency stays low with 500Mbps speeds. Is my router possibly faulty?
Thanks!

It's started happening again for me. Mainly at around 9-10pm but also very short drop outs in the day. I've already replaced the router. Engineer came out and confirmed drop outs. No cause could be identified but suggested swapping the fibre to premises. Frustrating that I have to pay more to (hopefully) fix the issue. Waiting for installation.

New FFTP (500mb) connection installed Jan 27th 2022. Amber voice light has now come on and wifi connnections dropped.
Will try and reboot and monitor.
