Terrible customer service

Is anyone on here happy with the customer service     If so can I speak to whoever you spoke to.    Is the call centre in Mumbai ?   Would love to speak to a uk operative who understands what I am saying.        Contract up in April.     Shopping around for another provider.   They can't be any worse than sky

@Yflynn  There are no direct contacts or numbers, your call gets routed to the next available agent regardless of location.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Yflynn

Actually more likely to be Bangalore / Bengaluru

Sky does still maintain contact centre presence in the UK, primarily in Livingston and Leeds.

Like similar companies, other staff will be much further away.

@Yflynn

Is your issue something that someone here can help you with or is it account specific?

As @GD1 indicates, where your call lands depends on contact centre staffing and call volume at the time.

It's also perhaps worth remembering that Sky Group has been a division of Comcast since 2018, and the US parent corporation may well have chosen to offshore an increasing proportion of support jobs.

Re: Terrible customer service

Crap response to any queries.   Should have had somewhere here today to fix my broadband.    Booked morning 8 till 1.    No show.    When I phoned my appt had been cancelled due to an emergency.       Dont know what emergency as was not informed.          Customer service absolute crap

Re: Terrible customer service

I agree, it's unbelievably bad.
My personal bugbear is that they read/listen to your enquiry, find the nearest similar issue on the script, and then deal with THAT instead of the thing you contacted them about.
It happens every time, without fail. The customer service grunts seem incapable of thinking for themselves.
Goodness knows what will happen to the Indian economy when they get replaced by LLMs.
