Terrible Slow internet speeds

I just bought full fibre where you get your own cable straight to ur house from sky, i noticed 0 internet speed changes what so ever.

It says I have sky broadband superfast aswell but when I do I speed test on sky I only get 7mbps compared to its advertised 60mbps

 I also notice that when I do the speed test it says I've got sky broadband essential plus which maxes out at 11mbps but it says that my contract is sky broadband superfast so which one is it? I feel like I'm being scammed it takes way to long to download things on my phone or console that using my 4g phone data is usually faster by a lot.

it's even more annoying the fact I got full fibre aswell, someone help am I being stupid or just out right scammed

@Chev When did you upgrade to fttp from sky? Has the work been carried out by both OR and SKY to have it installed, and what is or was your activation date for the product.

The fttp was installed today a few hours ago, i didn't know of an activation date

The pppoa shows you are still on sky essentials.  If you go your my sky app and then my orders it should show your activation date

@Chev so what was done today as you say FTTP was installed today was there a grey box fitted outside your property or did they fit a white ONT inside your property or was both done ?

They fitted no box what so ever, they did some digging into the path and we asked them is this for my house for my broadband and they said yes but I don't see my box just some underground stuff

@Chev that will be the dig team i needed one when I had FTTP installed I then had another appointment to fit the outside grey box and to fit the new inside ONT socket and connect them up so you should have an appointment booked for either an openreach engineer or a Sky engineer to complete the works 

I'd suggest looking in your orders to see if there is a date in there
