Hi I'm only getting between 60/80mb speeds on the sky max pod when I am getting 500mb for my hub. Are the pods capped at a slower speed ?

They use a third high frequency signal to connect to the WiFi Max hub which has limited range to give higher speeds so placement is important. I would experiment with moving the pod closer to the hub.

I believe that the Sky Max Pod only uses WiFi 5 whereas the hub uses WiFi 6. There's a marked speed difference between the two.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Alan07 thst is correct but given WiFi5 can easily deliver around 600Mb/s the restriction has little practical effect. As I posted earlier in the thred the biggest factor is the backhaul connection to the hub that primarily determines the speed the extenders can provide.
