Sky Q and Mini Box losing connectivity

I've just changed providers to Sky broadband this week. Previously the connectivity with sky Q and mini box was very stable. I'm currently losing connection to such an extent that it's difficult to watch anything for more than 10 minutes without it cutting out! Is this something that will improve due to the router being newly installed or is the sky product inferior to other providers? You'd think the connectivity with your own products would be better not worse!
