I recently upgraded to the 500Mbps package which is fine but I am trying to use Powerline Adaptors to transfer it to my garage outside but the reception is around 30Mbps if not less at times.
Is it possible to run a 2nd fibre optic cable from the main box outside the property to the garage in the back garden, Just asking as this would save going inside the house from the main box to running an cat5e cable going out the house into the garage.

In theory, yes (because standard Openreach optical drop cable contains four fibre cores) but that would require another Ultrafast subscription (typically from a different ISP) and an entirely separate ONT, ISP router and local data network distribution to what you have now. The fibre pigtail to your existing ONT cannot be 'split': that's not a possible topology for an external connection which by definition has to follow a discrete and contiguous optical pathway to a single gateway device.

Note that if you were to go down this (expensive) route you'd need to be very clear with the ISP you choose that you are looking for an additional Ultrafast subscription at the address, and not a takeover of service.

This is what I was thinking about doing just i need to find good enough ethernet cable that is weatherproof and a way to run it outside the house I guess I would have to drill a hole in the wall and thread the ethernet this way. 🙂
