Just tested the connection via the sky app using 4g . It 'claims' there is no issue...

@Nit1980 Nice result, well done. I've found Sky in the past to be very unhelpful so I'm not looking forward to calling them.

@Chrisee I ran it myself from the Sky app on my phone.

@Chrisee Oops sorry, didn't notice you were replying to someone else.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Simon6060 dont worry as you may see there are loads of similar issues which are most likely caused by all the rain we have been having. As a result Openreach whose network Sky uses are very busy. However I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private chat session to get this sorted. Keep an eye on the forum as if you miss the message just click the chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.

Engineer here now so will see what he says after his checks etc

@Chrisee Many thanks for that. Actually, before I saw your message I phoned Sky and they're sending an engineer round tomorrow!!

The engineer called. He was really good; replaced the box on the wall and the router. He said that was as much as he was able to do and if the problem persisted then it would require action from Openreach. Shortly after he left the problem happened again! I phoned Sky but they said I'd need to phone back after 6pm as the current job is still showing as open until then.

Hi our engineer did the same changed router and my two sockets. He tested my lines and they were crackly with interference. Sky called openreach for me yesterday and he's just left he was very efficient, checked inside no issue my issue was with my line outside. He come back in and did another test and the response was clear. He told me my router will go down for 3 minutes within the hour for a line upgrade then should be fine so fingers crossed.
Hope you get it sorted 👍🏻

@Nit1980 Sounds like you've got a result 😀. Fingers crossed Openreach sort mine too before long.

Hi @Chrisee
i tried both. No problem reported on either and yet the connection (ethernet) has been intermittently, repetively been down. The router itself shows the central yellow light, with 2 surrounding green lights at the time the app states there is no issue!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@9999999999mmm the app runs tests periodically so when it last ran your line was up but now is down. If you run the connection test when the line us down it will tell you if there is a known fault - if yhere isnt report it to Sky
