Just curious if they do evaporate...guessing the network will be taken over by Openreach?

I don't think it's safe to assume that at all: there's no statutory provision for that which I'm aware of, and probably a whole heap of technical obstacles.

The last altnet I heard of going to the wall left all it's customers hanging. No other company took over their network. I can't remember which one it was now because it was a few years ago.
