@Pogal  You should be able to still work from home even on the speeds available on OR, unless there is an Altnet in the area such as Virgin Media you won't get any better speeds with another provider who uses the same network

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I was thinking a g.fast connection howeve you would have received the black sr204 router and your mastersocket would have been changed to one with g.fast on it

No, it's the white router and no mention of anything needing to be changed at the house... At all. Working from home is impossible with no connection whatsoever!

Re: Looks like Sky sold me a pup...

But I have no connection whatsoever currently - is there any way of getting a non-fibre connection with this equipment?! I presume not...

That max hub suggests a full fibre connection and the upload speed rules out sky via thru cityfibre . So its indeed perplexing

Re: Looks like Sky sold me a pup...

I just don't understand why they told me I could get full fibre when, clearly, I can't? Now I've got nothing. I wish I hadn't switched and carried on paying way too much for a rubbish connection! So, so disappointing, as working from home is now impossible which is something of an issue...

Re: Looks like Sky sold me a pup...

@Pogal Although it states that you are getting the SR203 Sky Brodband Hub in your posted text, lot's off reasons why/why not and the Max is sent to you, stock issues, you requested sky Max account may be adjusted to accommodate, etc etc

Who are you switching from that leaves you with NO connection, would need to be someone like VM, and there Engineers removed the OR Phone socket that they are NOT suppossed to do but do it anyway!

Re: Looks like Sky sold me a pup...

But what does any of it mean? Will I be able to get any kind of connection, fibre or not? Or am I just starting again? We need to work! 😂

@cookiemonsteruk  I was looking at the FTTP on Demand speeds and they are higher than the other FTToD we've seen before.
