is there any way of getting a non-fibre connection with this equipment?!

Yes, but not with an outstanding FTTP order that cannot be provisioned at the address.

Something has clearly glitched: no such order should ever have been possible, but unfortunately I suspect it's going to need some gnarly manual intervention in the process on the part of Sky (and possibly Openreach) to start again with FTTC instead.

Hi, I had mine installed today and I assumed it'd be an instant thing. You have to wait for it to be activated. It took a couple of hours, but it's up and running now 👍

When things go to plan, yes.  Unfortunately @Pogal isn't so lucky: without any optical infrastructure in the area it's rather harder* to provision FTTP.

@GD1 Wonder why OR did not flag it up right away as a missmatch fttp-fttc then progress say its all connected and good to go, may have a ONT on a FFOD somewhere stuck in a cupboard from years ago as not able to find out previous ISP as yet!
