My internet connection goes down every night without fail just before midnight. Earlier in the day saw BT Openreach working in the area. Now by Red PON light is showing like clockwork. Fed up of this as it's clearly schedule outage that means I have to have alternative back up for working!

It's possibly maintenance taking place. This occurs overnight where necessary to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep. If it's not back by 6:30 - 7:00 you may need to call Sky when they open to report a fault.

Find out more@nfakoya if your line is in an area where Openreach or Sky are doing upgrade work you can lose connectivity each night for a week or longer then nothing for years. Just like the road network work is scheduled over night to cause the least inconvenience but it is a problem if you plan to use the system during such work.
However there is nothing you as a customer can do and in the most part Sky are equally powerless where major work is due the service checker will be updated but Openreach often dont tell their customers of local work affecting say a couple of thousand lines. No isp guarantees 24/7 connectivity
