Intermittent broadband drop outs

For the last 4 days my broadband has been dropping out intemittently, probably every hour or so for about 2-3 mins. 

 

There are no reported serivce issues in the area I live in and everytime I run a service test the results are fine (obviously because to run the tests you need to be online!)

 

This lead me to believe itt might be related to the router but I have no way of testing the router, I have turned it off and on a few times but the problem persits.

 

I am yet to call Sky but thought I would reach out here first to see if anyone else has ever had the same issues and resolved it without contacting Sky directly?
