Hub

Hi my Internet keeps slowing down and have to turn hub off and on , my tv packages are not loading on a daily basis.

I have the same issue, on Sky Fibre and regularly getting issues with speed dropping to 2mbps . When I do the service checker, it says everything is fine but clearly it is not.

@R1ch4rdk  Your speed to the hub is 80/20 is that the package that you are on. As the speeds seem okay, what devices are seeing a slow down in speed and how are they connected to the router?

The issue is that it is intermittent. The internet slows down to nothing.

@R1ch4rdkWould you be able to check that nothing else on the network in your property is doing anything heavy in downloading at the time.

Yes, this is a daily occurence at different times. I do a service check and it says everything is always ok, yet when I do a speed test, I can be down at 2mbps.

 

Today I am at 20mbps when I have a speed guarantee of 50mbps.

 

Sometimes all 4 lights are not green on the hub, I unplug the power, turn it back on and then the hub works again.

 

I think there is a problem with the Hub, yet I can't find anywhere how I would get this replaced.

 

I am seriously thinking of moving away from Sky Broadband now.

@R1ch4rdk  If Sky are not able to see these speed drops when you give them a call to report this and they are unable to fix it or unwilling to then see what your options are.
