Engineer visit more than 2 months wait

I scheduled to move home with Sky a few weeks ago and I've just received confirmation that the engineer visit will be on the 5th of December! That's more than two months without broadband. 

I know wait times are long but this seems excessive. Is there anything I can do?

I'd think that suggests you're due to get a more complex FTTP installation.

 

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.
