Hello,
I was thinking that no engineer visit was necessary to establish my connection, but then i realized that my home does not have any socket suitable for sky modem connection cable connection. How can I make room for the cable plug? Is this what the engineer will do? If so, how can I reschedule this appointment?
Below are the photos explaining the situation. The cable does not fit into

A master socket with that port could be adapted to fit the cable in the image by using a plug in microfilter.

That appears to be an integrated faceplate with a telephone extension socket: it's not the Openreach master socket and back box which one would expect to use for broadband unless a previous occupant has carried out some distinctly unauthorised (and borderline illegal) rewiring.

So, is there any device making the conversion from one end to the other? If so, where can I buy this adapter?

Plugin microfilters are easily available online for a few pounds. Note that this will only work for you if broadband is actually being provisioned over copper cabling (ADSL/FTTC/G.fast) and that's an active socket on the Openreach network without a prefiltered master elsewhere on the cabling between it and the outside world.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you sure there is no hidden BT/Openreach master socket tucked away in your home somewhere? The socket you sent a picture of seems to be a 3rd party faceplate that may not be connected to your main external line.
If you cant find the appropriate socket you'll need to call Sky and report this, they will then send an Openrech engineer out to trace the line in your property & install a new socket if required.

I have another bt faceplate but it doesn't provide any connection either.
