Door camera

Hi everyone. Since upgrading to fibre 75, my door camera is now unable to connect. Previously, my broadband had an extra partition of 2.4 ghz. It now doesn't have this partition, which was needed to connect the camera. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Re: Door camera

Hello again. Just to let you know that the problem is now solved. I switched off the power to the rouuter and fibre box for a few minutes, then restarted and  set up my door cameras and it worked. It took a while for the router and fibre to reboot. Thank you again for all your help.

Re: Door camera

@GeordieJohn72 Did you change the sky hub on your fibre upgrade and which hub do you have now and previous, see the link below abot the current ones! Also did the hub move by far when you did the upgrade and where your new ONT was positioned!

Re: Door camera

I have the black router. I didn't change it's position. The guys who fitted the fibre said it was well placed. The problem is that I am unable to find a 2,4 ghz partition anymore. The upgrade is brilliant. Just this one problem is all.  Thanks for responding.

Re: Door camera

@GeordieJohn72 Did you look at the link, they are all black apart from 2 off them will assume you have the sky Broadband Hub, as full fibre and talk requires that one, so linked below about the split bands for you on that hub!

Re: Door camera

Yes. The sky engineers went through this detail with me whilst doing the work. Im quite prepared to consider that the camera is at fault and not the fibre. Just unable to find the 2.4 partition anymore is all. Thanks again for your interest.

Re: Door camera

Just bought a new door camera. It too cannot connect to the 2.4 ghz portal. Don't know what to do now. Checked the router online. There is a 2.4 ghz portal, synced with a 5 ghz portal.

Re: Door camera

@GeordieJohn72 Your were sent the information link on post 4, did you not see it did you just skipped it!

If your installation Engineer reset you sky Hub when he changed the position then it defaults to what is on the label back off the sky Broadband Hub! Split band;s no longer and back to a single ssid!

Re: Door camera

@GeordieJohn72 Well done, it's whatever it takes to get it all working again! Re-boot on the Hub is circa 5 minutes from power on to ready...
