Re: Having DNS issues with work and home laptop

I don't think an end user can change this on a Sky Max router.

Re: DNS issue?

@Scottg154 You cannot point to another DNS server using a sky Supplied hub?

Re: DNS issue?

I cannot see anywhere in the router settings where the DNS can be changed. Looking at previous replies to this thread, and other forums on the internet it's suggests Sky don't allow this.

@Scottg154 Correct, that is what the answer said, there is NOTHING that you can do on the sky Hub!

Re: DNS issue?

I've found  that:

Users can't delete a DHCP reservation on the SkyMax router. You can try a factory reset - but if you do, make sure you unplug the router and leave it off power for a while, if it restarts immediately after the factory reset, the memory still isn't cleared.

I have also found that some laptops will get IP Addresses via VPN and others won't., in my case if you have a 3rd party switch connected to the Skymax hub downstream. the laptop with the company Cisco AnyConnect VPN won't get an  IP Address if the laptop is on the eithernet through the 3rd party switch (everything else connected will). . But patching  the laptop directly to the back of the Skymax router and rebootiing the laptop it successfully gets an IP address.
