Update for me, based in Wakefield, having update apps issues and youtube issues.
Went to a friends restaurant for lunch, used his WiFi ( Virgin ) and everything works fine. One of our friends that we meet is with Sky, lives in Wakefield and has the same issues we all are.
Does not take a brain surgeon to work out that it's a Sky issue.
I am getting back onto them and will see what they say.

I have recently upgraded my broadband to Full Fibre 300. SKY said it would be a faster speed. It hasn't made much difference to be honest. Ever since I am unable to download and install apps from the play store. I have intermittent problems watching videos on YouTube and Netflix. I didn't have this issue before my broadband was upgraded. I reported this to SKY who sent me a new router. But it's still happening. I live in West Yorkshire like others in this thread. I have phoned customer services again who say there isn't a problem and it's a in-house set up issue. Clearly something is wrong because other people in West Yorkshire are having the same issue.
It's extremely frustrated and I'm considering cancelling my DD. I'm not getting the speeds or servie promised.
Has anybody had any success with this or is it still an ongoing problem?
Thanks

As of now this is still an ongoing issue for me in West Yorkshire.

Apparently, it could be a Sky software issue after a recent update to their routers. I can't update any apps on the Play store. My YouTube doesn't work properly, videos get stuck .

Thanks @TheJools
The Proton VPN: Private, Secure – Apps on Google Play seems to work, but it is still incredibly slow for me. I'll keep it on as a temporary measure until SKY manage to fix the issue.

I had a visit from a sky engineer today. It would appear it's a Sky software glitch ( after recent update) affecting android devices. My apps on play store won't update, plus YouTube and YouTube music aren't working properly

Got the same problem, did they give you any indication of how they will fix the update issue?

Same thing with me. Keeps buffering. Phoned a few times now. It might be to do with sky shield they said. West Yorkshire area

Hi,
Is there a way we can get the attention of someone responsible from networking?
there seems to be a core networking issue with a few peoples internet currently:
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/YouTube-videos-buffering-but-only-at-home/td-p/4883277
I have investigated this as I am having the same issue.
If I view youtube from my youtube android app I am getting time outs, but browser fine.
If i do the same with mobile internet I have no issues
It seems sky is not routing certain addresses:
rr1---sn-cn3tc-ac5r.googlevideo.com (90.222.200.40) - cannot be accessed from my internet, however it can be access from my phone on the mobile internet
This is a content server that serves the videos
doing a traceroute from a random internet server I get this:
1 k12-b17-lt1.kvm.serveriai.lt (31.14.179.156)
2 ae042-wan4.rackray.com (185.38.165.42)
3 ae0-206.rt.tic.vno.lt.retn.net (87.245.242.133)
4 ae1-7.rt.tc2.lon.uk.retn.net (87.245.233.99)
5 be1028.er16.thlon.isp.sky.com (195.66.225.234)
6 2.120.13.96 (2.120.13.96)
7 90.222.205.13 (90.222.205.13)
the destination IP is 90.222.200.40 so the last response is very close
however doing this from my home internet there is no route:
1 SkyRouter.Home (192.168.0.1) 8.746 ms 8.721 ms 8.695 ms

Thanks Dan12345
I have made a bigger post but it keeps being removed.
I have looked into this and its routing issue, basically the server that host googles content are not reachable on my sky internet
for example rr1.sn-cn3tc-ac5r.googlevideo.com is one of these server which is not accessible from my internet, but is from my mobile internet
Many thanks
Mr Palmer
