Hi,
I've noticed since yesterday when I watch YouTube shorts the video stops playing after a bit, like it does when connection is weak or starts buffering. It doenst come back on. I also noticed that I couldn't install any apps Google play store or update them.
All the above works if I use mobile data. I have tried other home broadbands like BT and Vodafone and it works fine on there too. Not sure how long it's been like this but I noticed it on Friday.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have reset the router and turned it off and on again. It didn't work.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Muhammad+Waseem check the setting for Sky Broadband Shield using the My Sky app as thst could becset too low so blocking certain activity.

I'm having the same problems on my connection also. I have broadband shield turned off, and have restarted the router. Only buffers on select videos on YouTube, but downloading apps or updating them doesn't work over wifi. It is very strange as everything else works over wifi connection, i.e Netflix, prime video, etc. Youtube also has connection problems on iPad, but downloads app updates fine.

I have the exact same thing. YouTube app not loading videos or shorts. Everything else works fine.
I can go on mobile data, start the video and then it plays.

I have the same issue. Updating fine on 5g but not working over WiFi. Shield on or off making no difference. Anyone know if this has been reported?

So switched on a vpn and updated all apps. Seems to have worked for now. Hopefully won't happen again.

Looks like it's just not me having this issue. Will anyone from Sky CS pick this up from this thread or will I need to contact them?

Same issue. Raised it with customer service and got a text back an hour later saying "we fixed it". They did not fix it.

I have managed to update apps using my other phone as a hot-spot but this is far from ideal!
