I've recently been having some issues with my Broadband - whenever I used the service checker it always says it's fine, but it's not. Getting this out there early too - All connections are WIRED, All hardware is MIN 1 gigabit, PC has 2.5 gigabit network card. All cabling is Cat 7 and have tried changing things around and diff cables etc all with the same results - Constant drop outs - well, very low readings anyways
Now, when I look at the help section it says third party speed testers are not supported under the minimum speed guarantee, however I can not for the life of me find any link to an actual Sky speed test that shows me any results? The help section only offer to run the test and says everything is ok. The test is also stupid anyway, since I had tried using an ASUS router for a period of time and yet the checker still says it's successfully connecting to my Sky Hub and talking to it (unless it's just a "dumb" test and merely checks there's *A* router and nothing more - I've not tried the test without a router connected to the ONT Modem)
I then put together a Raspberry Pi speed test monitor box using a Raspberry Pi 5 which has onboard 1gb ethernet. I connected this ethernet directly to the router for some tests as well as directly to the ONT (which was a pita to get working) to run tests and the results were the same, so that pretty much rules out anything hardware related in terms of my laptop and pc being slow at times.
Here is a screenshot of a 20hour ish window. Speedtest is run every 15th minute. Between 19:30 - 21:30 I was gaming and so disabled the test for that 2 hour window. All other times, I was barely using the internet, the odd google search here and there. No streaming, no gaming, no downloading etc.
I've got days worth of data like this with constant spikes like a mountain range!
What is the "official" Sky Speed Test tool or site?

This takes me to the same "Service Checker" which does not show the actual speed results.
In fact, this "Service Checker" has always given me the same results, even saying "your hub is connected" when it's not, I've connected directly to the ONT Modem and there's no hub or router connected.

I stopped using the Sky hub, it's not connected up. For the recent testing the RPi Speed Monitor setup is connected directly to the ONT Modem. No other devices connected
the RPi creates it's own WiFi Access Point to act as a webserver to view the results using Grafana. The WiFi is *NOT* bridged so to speak and therefore does *not* provide connected clients with internet, it is purely a "local ad-hoc wifi network server"

Still unable to edit posts annoyingly - just wanted to clarify, I only connect to the ad-hoc wifi ap to check the results then disconnect again. No other devices ever connect, so wifi or "server load" or anything like that affects the readings
