2-3 days to fix this is not acceptable
Unless that's as long as it takes. For an area outage all possible resources are directed at the problem, but there are physical realities involved: for example here.

It's worth mentioning that Sky Broadband is a domestic service and there is no faster fix times for customers wfh. The two working days probably mentioned already in this thread is the standard potential fix time provided b Openreach who claim to resolve 80%+ of issues in the timeframe.
See above.

Still down in HP2. Would be nice to have more regular updates from SKY on timelines, some of us WFH or have had to rearrange online doctors appointments because of this!

Openreach are not known for their promptness in updating their isps regarding repairs progress.

Re: Broadband Outage & Service Checker Under Maintenance
Just to clarify, sky isn't not at fault for the outage but rather, BT Openreach. In the last hour, I spoke to Sky for any updates to the current outage at hand and they said multiple isps are also experiencing the same outage as us sky users are and its seems that BT Openreach are still fixing the issue however these details were from 10am today 3rd September 2024. Also to mention that from the early hours of 3rd September 2024, it was affecting 1000+ households, now it has risen to 10,000+ households.

For me, in HP3 area, just came back online. Let's hope it lasts.

Re: How to complain
Internet and phone dead since midnight last night - to compound we have absolutely NO mobile signal on any network in our area and never have had - always had to rely on calls over WiFi. I've got a health issue which is seriously worrying no way of calling emergency services or even receive a call from my doctor - what am I supposed to do and why are sky not saying what the issue is and when it might be fixed? Re: How to complain
Sky won't necessarily know when it'll be fixed. The outage will be investigated and fixed by Openreach. In view of the outage area I'm sure they are working as quickly as they can to resolve it.

Note that in such circumstances fixed line broadband should not and cannot be relied on: there are simply too many single points of failure between any particular address and the national network.
