Why can't I watch the F1 race from the start?

Yes. I added all the UHD live events to my playlist. FP1 & 2 appeared immediately after broadcast as far as I can tell. FP3, Qualifying and the race all appeared the day after.

@Mark-Br I added the Live HD event which apparently series linked for the Qualification and Race on ch 406 but they did not get added to my Paylost (Freudian typo which seems quite apt)

I added the UHD event from the TV guide ch 3051 which is what I have done in the past on Q. These showed as linked in the TV guide schedule. Those links have carried forward to next Friday's and Saturdays schedules both in HD and UHD.

The full race wasn't available to Download (in SD or HD) on Sky+HD (and I assume Sky Q) until late on Monday night, appreciate that these boxes could record the live broadcast, but the timings of availability to access after the event across the platforms seem similar.

Just a heads up.

I see the practice sessions for this weekends Jeddah GP aren't available now from earlier so this is the same as last week. I suspect that Quaily and the race might be the same! 

This is becoming a joke and more than just a technical issue I think. Someone earlier suggested the Glass T's & C's have changed to say live events may not be available to some time later. Customer Services told me this is if the event is being hosted on the iPayer etc. Anyone know anything more about this??

They told me on the phone they had major issues that they're trying to sort but it'll take a while.. Live sport won't pause for too long as it's streamed. They're hope that Sundays race will be available to watch 4hrs after the race has finished UHD, not sure about HD but think it's the same. . It sounds like a best case scenario until they sort the issue.

Yeah no Qualifying tonight either. 

how can they get something so wrong. They own the rights to F1 on the uk so it's not that they aren't allowed to show it on reply.  I'm baffled and really **bleep** of with Sky Glass. 

unfortunetly I'm out of my 31 days. Really want Q back and happy to pay the tv cost. I'll go back to a Q silver and multiple mini boxes for this is **bleep**e.

@steviel247  there's nothing stopping you from paying for the tv and cancelling the glass subscription then connecting q to glass via hdmi if you wish

but in doing so you lose all of the glass smart tv features

@SKY1992bf  That's exactly what I plan to do. Will call them tomorrow. Do you think they would allow the ongoing payments?? 

not too bothered about the smart features, I've most of them turned of  anyway. 

having the wife and kids fill the hard drive with junk doesn't seem to be as much of an issue now compared to this carry on. 🙈😂

I'm not too happy with the lacklustre response from Sky on this. What is the best telephone number to call them on. I am being forced to watch 'highlights' on C4 to watch what I wanted to watch on a premium channel that I pay to watch live on. Criminal and in breach of contract

Is there a reason why we can not watch the F1 Grand Prix, all we can see is the Sprint day before. 
had there been some alteration by Sky that we can only watch the race if we subscribe to the sports channel?

thanks for your reply, yes I knew the race wasn't till Sunday but we are out for the day and was looking to record. 
However, I think I have cracked it, it appears you now have to have SkySports to watch it. 
But thank you anyway.
