Why can't I watch the F1 race from the start?

The sky glass is going back.

Just confirmed on the phone you can't stream the full race after it's been on.

I certainly want to say it can't be true @SKY1992bf  but at the moment I'm getting more and more confused with glass capabilities.

Just re-checked the FAQ's. Which have been changed/updated recently...!

"Live UHD sport events won't show in your Playlist, as these can only be viewed live at the moment. We hope to have this resolved soon."

@SKY1992bf not from my playlist you cant but if you go into Sports in the second rail scroll down to Live Grand Prix Sunday: Qatar the first tile Qatar Grand Prix On the Grid is the whole race in HD. 🤬

 
Sky have made a total Horlicks of Glass's F1 coverage and currently seem unable to know what is posible and what isnt. Fortunately I did watch the race live in UHD which overall was excellent if I hadn't like other posters I would be furious. I have emailed viewerR@sky.uk my annoyance as suggested by a Sky contact.

FYI the first race is Bahrain

Customer services have confirmed to me you can't get the full race.

Customer services have told me it was a known fault and they hope to have it fixed. They would send me a text to confirm. 🤷‍♂️🙈

Yep, same for us. Was looking forward to watching it later in the day. But no, not available. 

Come on Sky, don't you think we pay enough for all this. To not have access to F1 except as a live show is unacceptable

All sessions are now available in UHD in my playlist. It took a day or so in some cases.

Too late, it's going back. I was miss sold the product and guaranteed that all races could be when I wanted and it just isn't true.

I'm now getting sky Q at half the cost I was paying for Sky Glass, with the F1 channel, without having to pay for the full Sky Sports package and I can watch it whenever I want. So I'm happy.

Was it the Live UHD event that everyone here added to their Playlist?

I too had the same issue this weekend. As a general rule I never watch F1 live as I'm usually too busy during the weekend. I used to record on SkyQ and watch in the evening. I had a similar issue with the last two races of last season. The final race appeared in my playlist 24 hours after the race - not acceptable at all.

It's good to hear Sky are aware now so hopefully there will be an update.

Hi, for me yes, I added the UHD Live F1 to the playlist.

FP1 and FP2 appeared to work as expected, were there pretty much immediately after the broadcast.

Every "recording/playlist" from Saturday onwards were a disaster.

worth noting it's not just F1, seems same for premier league games also

current situation is not acceptable. We need a clear update from Sky. ie.

This is how it is supposed to work.

We have known issues in these areas.

We are hoping to provide fixes in xxxxx ( roughly is good enough)

if we understand properly what it should be doing and where the issues are, we can make a judgement call as to whether to stick with it or cancel.

right now it's not acceptable.
