am happy to keep giving an alternative opinion on this, in that i think the pitcure is good via sky glass, but yes, if your picture looks like you are viewing through a dirty window there is definitely something wrong with your screen, and you need to speak to sky about a replacment.
peoples perseption of what is either good or bad when setting up pitcure setting is so subjective, and whilst figures and numbers give you a good idea of what to expect, just becouse a TV has 1000nits doesnt mean i'm gonna like it, hope that makes sense....

It's true about perception of picture quality..however in this instance even my wife who would watch a black and white portable without comment couldn't help but slate this picture. Anyway it's done now until it been out a couple of years and there are choices of better quality to be had..back to Sky Q and put it down to experience.

Same problem. Colours not vivid as promised and dark scenes can barely be seen at all. Closing curtains, turning off lights to make the living room dark does not help. I had this TV replace a 12 year old HD ready Samsung and while the pixel quality is better the contrast and visibility is not even close. To compound the issue, there are no manual settings options. All the pre programmed settings are useless!
There's also an auto sound leveling going on which leaves dialogue muffled after a loud sound affect, explosion, crash etc., which I also can not manually adjust. And yes I am paying extra for the full atmos experience which seems to not be much of an experience at all.
We desperately need replacements or software updates to tackle these quality issues.

Yes there are, through choosing Custom and then Advanced.

Hi, all.
thank you for your replys but nothing anyone has suggested in any way helps. I have after much hassle had the TV replaced and guess what. The picture and sound are perfect.
the original TV was faulty as I told Sky from the start but they just kept trying to say it was all down to the broad band.
on the day my TV was replaced the delivery company had 18 TVs to deliver, 12 of these were replacements.
I have to say there do appear to be issues with Skys Quality Control.
that said however I have a TV that now works and I am happy with the picture sound quality.
I thought it might be worth posting an update with my solution

Thanks Andy for the update and interesting outcome. I didnt end up getting a replacement so never did find out if it was a quality issue ..back to SkyQ which still seems to have its own issues now!

Picture settings for uhd 4k:
Auto backlight adjustment. Off
Blacklight: 90
Aspect ratio: Auto
Dolby vision picture mode: Bright
Default streaming format: Auto
Contrast: 70-80
Sharpness: 40-50
Video brightness: 42
Hue/tint: 50
White balance: standard
Local dimming: Off (sharpings Picture)
Colourspace mangement: default.
Sound:
Auto volume correction: Off
Virtual surround sound: on
This should brighten picture on all uhd 4k and BBC format.

Thanks for that but I did eventually stumble into the advanced settings. Would have been a good idea to have read instructions first but my son assures me there was only the instructions for the stand.
Anyway, as soon as I turned off that auto back-light feature, the screen sprang to life. I have made further small adjustments and await the next dark scene to see how it looks.
Still not keen on the sound though. Obviously there's limitations in regards to original broadcast quality but again, I'll wait and hear how it sounds next time I watch UHD content.

To all with picture problems.
Has anyone experienced Tv picture dimming and also a yellow tinge to faces etc?
My Sony 4k TV always given brilliant HD pics when i had Sky Q. Since i changed to Sky Glass Puck, it has also been ok, although the HDR i am paying for has never materialized. Same with my 48inch Sky Glass in the bedroom.
This morning, the pic has a yellowish tinge, and its the same on normal TV and Prime etc. Some faces actually look jaundiced!
I am not about to go into changing Tv or Glass settings, as I have never had to do this before, and am not about to start now.
This seems to be another gremlin in the saga that is Sky Glass. But i would be grateful to have other user experiences..

I have an older LG OLED attached to a puck and the colour looks absolutely fine on it, in HD, HDR and SDR. I have issues with the Pucks but colour representation isn't one of the issues.

Yes, I have a Sony 4K 55,inch HD Tv with a Sky Glass Puck.
Upto now, picture has been acceptable.
Today the picture is noticeably dimmer, and some items, mainly faces have a yellow tinge.
I have changed nothing, the TV is still.good, so I am looking at a Sky Glass issue as a probable culprit.
Any ideas?
