Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I doubt if I am alone here @Jon+Reeve Have you seen how many postings there are on this subject in the discussion? I am not particularly bothered in general; I just don't want programs I may have briefly looked at, to be later added by some AI algorithm to the Play now Rail that I CANNOT Remove.
If Sky want to keep their customers, then they have to listen to their concerns and act upon them. Judging by how long this issue has been dragging on for, and the lack of any positive response from Sky, I doubt if it will ever be resolved. We are after all PAYING for this product, I sometimes wonder if we are all part of some Social Experiment ?

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I find it really odd that it bothers people so much. Just access what you want in your Play List and forget the Play Now rail!
I honestly think people don't understand what the Play Now rail is supposed to do.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
You tell me @Jon+Reeve ? We all appear to be in some sort of "Self-Help Group". I have no REAL positive idea how programs listed in the Play now Rail are removed, other than the ambiguous pearl of wisdom. "They drop off" ?
Like, WHEN do they DROP OFF? HOW long does it take before they DROP OFF? What do I need to DO to help them DROP OFF? Do I need to ADD another heap of **bleep**E to my Play now Rail to SHOVE more **bleep**E along before that **bleep**E DROPS OFF? ....bleep = S H I T E
No one but no one from Sky has come in here and given us a definite answer, other than the odd link to some out of date posting that resolves nothing, so you tell me @Jon+Reeve ? Just give the paying customer a CHOICE PLEASE...

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Jon+Reeve The annoyance with the play now rail is the inconsistency, I have been able to track the series I am watching and the progress within each series.
Suddenly I can't do that and it's reset my progress or either reset the programmes and series back to the beginning even though I have completely watched them.
Play now is supposed to be the easier and quicker way to get to the content you love hence why it's placed on the homepage within the UI. and help track series progress this currently isn't possible and your suggestion to go into the show centre is absurd, I have way too much content in there to scroll through and find new episodes.
It perhaps is all down to personal preference whether you want to rely on play now or just the main playlist.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Jayboy1990 The way I use it is if I want to carry on watching a series, if I can't see it in the first few items on the Play Now rail then I just go into the Play List and find what I want to watch there and carry it on.
I don't find that a massive issue. Play Now will always have the most recent things watched to the left so it's generally good logic. I've seen things appear in it that I don't recognise but assume other family members have watched something and it doesn't bother me that I can't remove them. They will slide down the rail and drop off.
I always assumed this was how Sky envisage it working. Seems to make sense to me.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@MichaeWlG You could start by relaxing a little. It's genuinely no big deal. Why do you need to know exactly when they will drop off? What is your obsession with it?
Just watch the things that matter to you and they will start to appear on the left and the programmes that seem to be upsetting you so much will slowly move down the rail. Meh. So what? I'm as OCD as they come and it really doesn't bother me that some random film my daughter watched once for 40 minute before deciding she didn't like it sits on the Play Now rail. It will slide down as more popular things are watched. As it should be.
You cannot delete from Play Now BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER and isn't needed!

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Ah I see, I did not know they "slide down", or "slowly move down" the rail before they "drop off". I won't describe what images I have in my mind, but a slug sliding slowly down a cabbage leaf before it drops off springs to mind.
Maybe if someone employed by Sky had explained this "highly technical and rather ingenious process" in this discussion, I wouldn't have bothered to participate in it. Maybe I should have marinated my brain in Pidgeon's Milk with a dash of Garlic, leave to fester in a potful of BLOOD SUCKING NOODLES for 24 hours on my ceramic INDUCTION hob, then lie down in a darkened room..... I'd be wiser...or would I ???

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Sorry if I was a bit over the top with my previous posting. I was only trying to inject a bit of humour into what appears to be a Pantomime.
It's the total lack of interest from Sky, it's as if they don't care. No one from Sky comes in here and admits they have issues with the Glass system. If they are not listening now, I'm drawn into feeling we are "Flogging a dead horse" in here....

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@MichaeWlG I totally agree with you though, people should be able to remove things from it. It does not bother me personally but then I prefer using my Play List to find what I want to watch.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Jon+Reeve maybe I am confused, or just plain stupid. How does one use their Playlist to find programs they wish to view? I am wrong to believe I thought you find a program you wish to view, (at some later date), and add it to the Playlist?
I don't have issues with the Glass Playlist by the way, it's their Play Now Rail I have issues with, as it leaves remnants of programs in there that cannot be removed...all I want is an option to simply remove them, (PRETTY PLEASEEEEE)....

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@MichaeWlG What I mean is, when I want to watch something, I head to my Play List to see all the programmes I've added there.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
That's the way it is, there are very limited spaces and this means age groups, sex etc. will narrow down the availability even more.
Don't take it personally, it can be irritating the same happened to me and Iv got plenty to share with sky on the playlist. But, heyho.
