Unable to remove item from playlist

I've got the same issue, I've removed a programme from my playlist but it's still sitting in my play now, no option to remove it.

I finished watching Around the World in 80 Days from BBC iPlayer - however the Play Now rail still shows episode 8 as being half watched. I've removed the series from my Playlist and have gone and fast forwarded through all 8 episodes and yet it stubbornly refuses to drop off 😢

I've taken an extract from this Sky Glass FAQ, which may help;

How do I remove a show from the Playlist?

As everything in your Playlist is streamed, there is no need to remove individual episodes of a series. You can remove the entire series from your Playlist whenever you’d like by going into your Playlist, selecting the show, scrolling across, and selecting ‘Remove (Series)’ 

How do I remove shows from the Play Now rail?

You can’t manually remove items from the Play Now rail, but these will drop off over time as you watch and add more.

Trans: The Glass UI designers at Sky didn't see a need.  Glass subscribers may have a different opinion ; )

LOL! Yes - it certainly seems that the customers and the designers seem to view Playlist differently!

For me my issue is that everything else DOES drop off when played - except episode 8 of Around the World in 80 Days which just stays showing half watched. Having had Glass for almost 3 months it's the first time that's happened! And it's playing havoc with my OCD! 😀

Hi Mark, you seriously need to listen to your subscribers. There are umpteen forums on Sky with page after page of subscribers having issues with the Sky Glass Playlist.

What is the point of a feature, that fills up daily with unwanted programs users have to trawl through in the hope of finding what they may have added to their Playlist? It sorts of defeats the object when something gets so frustrating annoying to use. Either LISTEN to your subscribers, or BIN the who thing and give us something we the PAYING subscribers have control over.

I don't think most users (I may be wrong) have an issue with the Playlist apart from it not being in alphabetical order.  The issue is with the 'Play Now' rail, yes I hope they update it so that watched items disappear, but for me its not a deal breaker as 95% of the time we skip this feature and head into the view all playlist.

Hi Ant, scrolling down and on the left I have the Playlist/View all tile, to its right I have the Playlist Rail. If I select Playlist/View all, I see all programs on the Play Now rail.

Either way, I am NOT given an option to delete or remove any programs displayed in the Playlist/View all, nor from the Play Now rail. On top of that, programs I have added by accident and FFWD viewed are repeatedly re-added daily to the Playlist. All I want, and it appears many other paying Sky subscribers want is. The option to remove programs from the Playlist/View all Tile and or Play Now rail in the form of a REMOVE/DELETE button, no matter how they arrived there. I cannot be more succinct than that.

@MichaeWlG are you just trying to remove a single programme, if so at the moment you can't do that.  The delete fuction is called remove series and will remove any link to a whole series.  Hopefully in the future you can remove a single programme (similar to Q), but it's not a feature at present.

No Ant, it is a series of episodes, I do NOT have an option to remove a whole series. What is more annoying is, they, (ITV HUB/SKY??), add the next episode back the next day at transmission time, plus the entire series of episodes, after I have wasted my time FFWD the last episode to try and get rid of them all. Surely this is not what the end user wants?

I don't know if I am using this function wrong but things are addedto my playlist that I definitely have not added.  Also if I start watching something, and realise it's not for me, I am stuck with it.  Surely to add a delete option would be easier than fast forwarding everything?

@MichaeWlG I will look tonight, when home and post back here, but as far as I can remember the programmes we have in our Playlist have a remove series option.

Got a new one - I already totally ignore the Play Now rail as it's full of junk, but have been able to reply on the View All lists.

However, in Playlist > TV Shows > View All  

I've got "Inside Chernobyl with Ben Fogel" a show I added, watched and removed.

If I go into it the options are "Continue S1:E1" which takes me to the closing credits, and "Add Series"

If I "Add Series" it changes to "Remove Series", but if I remove it it doesn't actually remove it.  Argh!

It is the only show I've had where it displays no thumbnail too.
