Re: Subtitles with Q160.

Thank you but you cannot change the language from English.  There is no alternative! There is no drop down menu with other languages.   What is the point in that?

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

So, does that mean, that  we're entitled to some discount due to agrravating circumstances.

Very good of you

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

I suspect the answer would be along the lines of "in your dreams".

it's a totally ridiculous situation.

I might try another provider.

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

We have subtitles on 99% time except during sports as we one house member is hard of hearing and the rest of us have learned to live with subtitles to the point we don't notice it. Now each time we flick the channel we have to keep switching it on.

Please change it back.

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

We have to keep switching it off but same level of annoying.

Has anyone found any benefits to the change yet?

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

No benefit whatsoever.  Quite the reverse. It's counter productive

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

I am guessing that those that can now get Welsh subtitles  on some S4C programmes might disagree

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

Why is it not available to all then?  There must be plenty of Welsh people living in England who would appreciate it.  As it is, we have an English option that can't be changed, so what's the point?

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

There is no drop down menu beside the word English to offer alternatives so I don't know if other language options are available or how people access them if they are

Hi @HKB,

at the moment subtitles are only in English and Welsh for S4C programmes as @nigea99 mentioned. You can submit your feedback in the Accessibility board, which is monitored by Sky Accessibility Managers.

Re: Subtitles with Q160.

This mullarky with subtitles appearing and disappearing on a seemingly random basis is thoroughly irritating. Sky needs to simplify the process unless it wants to lose customers,eg ME! Why can't we have a handset with a dedicated "Subtitles " button,i.e. one press for on,another press for off??
