I've been SkyTV subscriber since 1991, I am a Sky diamond VIP, I pay £154.50 per month for my subscription, and now they have the audacity to want to charge £14.95 per game to watch live football matches. 29 years and I am seriously thinking of cancelling my TV subscription. I know that the Premier League are losing revenue whilst fans cannot go to the stadiums, but we are all in the same boat here, everyone is suffering from the pandemic, everyone is feeling the pinch. Do the right thing and have a rethink on this decision, it is quite frankly daylight robbery.

Didn't cancel my sports package even when there was no sport on. Didn't suspend it even though was an option. My reward is that if I want to watch certain football matches they are now a box office event. I'll be cancelling my entire sky package when runs out in November . I'm livid!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThese are just EXTRA matches that would not have been shown on TV, you are given access to them so you don't have to travel to the stadium, why punish sky when this is the FC giving you a safe way to watch these EXTRA matches 🙄

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt was a decision of the Premier league to put the matches not subject to the existing pre pandemicdeals which had 5 games per week, those additional 5 games per week.
The clubs voted 19 - 1 to do this (Leicester was the sole team against it)

You need to direct your anger to the Premier League because it is their product then they get to decide how the games have shown and as a money making exercise they have decided to take it to pay per view on Sky and BT.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAllegedly, Sky and BT aren't making any money out of this. After deducting production costs, all profits are going to the clubs.

I was wondering about that. So are you saying planned PPV matches were never going to be shown as part of Sky Football package or BT sports package?

Correct, they were supposed to be stadium only matches but COVID ruined that
