Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

Hi all, I have solved my issues by changing my home mesh network from access point to wi-fi and adding 1.1.1.1 to the optional DNS.

This has solved all issues I've had.

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

Would you please explain how to change the DNS settings to 1.1.1.1?

Does it need to be change on the sky settings?

Sorry but I have  no idea how to do it 😞

Thank you in advance

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

I have a ZTE 5g modem from Three. I also gave 3 TP-Link Deco Mesh devices. I have set the main Deco Mesh to Wi-Fi router mode instead of the Acess point mode that I had them set to. Under advanced / DHCP server I have added the 1.1.1.1 as an optional DNS address. I had to change the configuration on the Deco Mesh because I could not find a place to change the setting on the ZTE modem. For 2 days running we have had zero issues regarding programs loading, no blue or black screens and everything working as it should. Good luck with your system.

@AntInBristol thank you for suggesting the Huawei WS5200. Mine came today and I set it up in DHCP mode with DNS of 1.1.1.1 and it works perfectly with my Sky Stream box.

looking in to this huawei WS5200, is it an easy setup? Not an expert but not a novice, just need a solution to sort sky glass out as the rest of the Wi-Fi devices are perfect!

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

@Rpjm yes it's quite simple. The supplied network lead goes from the WAN port at the back of the Huawei to the network port at the back of the Three hub. Then follow the setup instructions that come with the box to set up the SSID and password etc. Then go to Connect to Internet at the top, choose DHCP as the Internet access mode, tick Static DNS, and type in 1.1.1.1 in the top box.

I've only been using it for an hour so don't really know how good it is in the long term. But at only £15 it's worth a gamble. Knowing my luck, Three will have reversed their network change tomorrow so the Huawei will be redundant.

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

Glad it worked for you @timt90 and thanks for the instructions for anyone else who goes down the same path.

Also.. if you got it from Amazon and within 30 days Sky / Three fix the issue, you could always return it! 🤣 Though it will probably be worth keeping it for when Sky breaks it again!

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

So, sometime ago it was suggested that this was a DNS problem but a few people tried Google DNS servers and reported they didn't help. Is this fix really unique to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 or were those earlier reports mistaken? I've not come across a problem with Google's servers in the past.

@Jong99

most of the recent posters here are using 3 internet and all have the exact same issue

changing the dns on their routers  / mesh systems to 1.1.1.1 is working for them

also using a vpn is working for them

Re: Just getting “ please waiting for your program to load”

The dns fix certainly worked for me using 1.1.1.1 I have Threes 5g internet using a cpe pro 3 router. Didn't want to go down the vpn route as it slows down the internet too much.

Hi.

Yes, I understand that. My confusion is that it was earlier suggested to use Google DNS - 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 and at least one person said that did not help.

If the problem is 3's DNS, which it always sounded like, then I'd expect using 8.8.8.8 to work as well as 1.1.1.1. It would be very interesting if that was not true.

Three 5G and lack of connection

So first off, I've had issues with my Internet. We have the Three 5G hub and on my Sky Glass 55" TV the sky on demand content stopped working. So I could watch everything barring sky programmes, unless they were on live TV. I managed to get around the issue by connecting to my phone as a hotspot, but now its totally worse.

So, I turn my TV on everyone it says there is no connection, it then connects, I try and play absolutely anything and it goes back to the same page. Anyone else had this issue?
